My Musical Journey: From the Studio to the Sound of India
I’m Bhargav Ojapali — an Audio Engineer, Music Producer, Audio Educator, and Music Business Professional based in New Delhi, India. Music has been both my calling and my craft, shaping the way I’ve contributed to the Indian advertising industry and the wider music ecosystem.
The Early Years & Training
My pursuit of sound took me from New Delhi to the global stage. I studied Music Business at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (offline) and earned my certification as a Logic Pro Engineer. Alongside this, I hold a Diploma in Business Communication from Infosys, which strengthened my ability to bridge artistry with strategy.
Shaping the Sound of Brands
I currently lead national audio production at Radio Mirchi (Times of India Group), where I’ve had the privilege of creating campaigns that resonate across India. My work has amplified the voices of brands such as Google, Apple, Coca-Cola, Ford, Maruti, Incredible India, and many more.
One of my proudest creations is the signature tune for Canara HSBC, a piece that continues to connect with audiences. My work on Philips India’s ad campaign was recognized with the ACEF Media Award (2018–19), marking a milestone in my advertising journey.
Over the years, I’ve worked on more than a thousand campaigns as a composer, producer, and digital creator—each project demanding a blend of creativity, precision, and cultural understanding.
Collaborations
Parallel to advertising, I’ve had the honor of collaborating with some of India’s most celebrated musicians, including Mika Singh, Kailash Kher, Ankit Tiwari, and Papon, among others. These experiences enriched my perspective on sound design, performance, and the evolving language of Indian music.
Educator, Author & Innovator
Beyond production, I’ve dedicated myself to mentorship and education. I designed a Mixing & Music Production course that has become a trusted resource for aspiring producers across India.
I am also the author of Beyond the Mix — a practical and insightful guide for emerging audio students and music lovers who want to understand both the psychology and technicality of music and sound. This book reflects my philosophy that great music is as much about mindset and emotion as it is about technology.
